Driving time too long will affect male fertility

Driving will cause scrotal temperature higher, and the high temperature on the formation of the sperm in the testis will have a negative impact.

Research team of nine adult males were tested. Their thermometers were fixed at the surface of the scrotum. Subjects walk first, and then driving 160 minutes.

In the  processthe first 20 minutes of driving, the average scrotal temperature of subjects increased from 34.2℃ to 35.5℃ In the latter two hours, the high scrotal temperature reached 36.2℃ Driving the process, when the average high temperature than walking 2.2℃.

Previous studies have found that male driver, a relatively small number of sperm, a higher proportion of abnormal sperm, after marriage his wife take a long time to pregnancy, but the reasons for these problems is not clear. France Dr. Owen who chaired the study, said longtime driving increased scrotal temperature may reduce the fertility of occupational driver, which is one of the important reasons.

It has been known the importance of maintaining the scrotum cool, for example, two years ago, Australia produced a kind of "air-conditioned underwear" is to prevent the scrotal temperature is too high. In fact, the pants size and thickness  have more important impact on the scrotal temperature, the driver should take it seriously.
